Why Congoleum Floooring?

OUTSTANDING IN HIGH MOISTURE AREAS

Rigid core flooring is 100% waterproof, which means planks won’t swell, buckle or lose integrity or shape in high moisture areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms. Natural hardwood is a poor option in these areas and even tile brings issues with mold and mildew in grout and porous textures. Rigid core floors are 100% waterproof and include mold and mildew-resistant formulas in their construction.

TIME RESISTANT

Do you have kids? Pets? Wear high heels? Drop things? Laminated/Congoleum floors are built for real life. Its firm construction ensures you won’t see dents from sharp heels or dropped pans, and its scratch and stain-resistant layer means sliding a chair across the room won’t leave a permanent impression. The protective wear layer is easy to keep clean and maintain over time. Some products even have a commercial-grade wear layer to take on the toughest challenges.

UNBREAKABLE

Included in the multilayer construction are layers to make the floor sturdy, yet comfortable, so it’s easier on your feet and easier on any breakable objects that get dropped on it. There’s no floor cracking even if the subfloor is a bit uneven - something that can easily happen with tile floors.

STYLISH

Forget about old and dull vinyl kitchen floors designs  – today’s luxury rigid flooring comes in an endless array of trendsetting designs that mimic natural wood, stone and tile, but with the same look and feel. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how authentic these floors look.

CONSTRUCTED TO LAST

Many Congoleum rigid core flooring products have lifetime warranties, as well as products that come with 30-year warranties.

What are the characteristics of laminate/congoleum? Laminates are fairly durable and scratch resistant. They are more resistant to wear and tear, moisture, and heat when compared to veneer and solid wood products. However, laminated surfaces are prone to chipping

Benefits of Lamination/Congoleum Lamination increases the durability of print materials, allowing them to withstand frequent use. Lamination adds protection against fingerprints and smudges, stains and spills, tears and wrinkles, marks and abrasions, plus oil, grease, dirt, moisture and other contaminants.

Which laminate/congoleum thickness is best? Thicker laminate flooring doesn't mean it's more durable. It will, however, be more resistant to warping and other conditions. A thickness of 8 to 12 mm is one of the most advised thickness levels for laminate flooring.

How do you clean Congoleum floors? Do not use a vacuum with a beater brush, because it may damage the floor's surface. Wipe up spills promptly with a damp cloth or mop. For a more thorough cleaning, wash your floor with Congoleum Bright 'N Easy No-Rinse Cleaner or other suitable, non-detergent based resilient floor cleaner.

Which laminate is better glossy or matte? If you need texture, matte finish should be your pick. Since there is no reflection of light, there is increased colour consistency, making the colour appear smoother

Is laminate better than vinyl? To summarize, vinyl is a better choice when you need water resistance, lifespan, and durability in your flooring. Meanwhile, laminate is preferable if you want a more stylish appearance, lower costs, and a comfortable feel underfoot.

Is laminate more waterproof than vinyl? What is more waterproof: Vinyl or laminate? While both vinyl and laminate can wick away moisture easily, vinyl is completely waterproof, which means you should go with vinyl for rooms that get a lot of moisture and high traffic
